Autumn fashion trends are always exciting! The transition from summer to cold weather clothing is shocking but always exciting. Here are a few of my favorite fall fashion trends and how to work them into your travel wardrobes!

Fall Fashion Trends

 Chinese Laundry Fawn Riding Boo

Knee High Boots

This look’s for the ultimate fashionista and for one of those trips where you pretty much plan to wear one, maybe two pairs of shoes.

While I wouldn’t recommend this for a complicated itinerary, if you’re traveling for a weekend or a week, turn eat up the style factor and rock these boots.

Marc Fisher Yale Chelsea Boot

Chelsea Boots

Their classic, flat, and so now – grab yourself a comfy pair and rest assured, these will mix and match with everything.

Pack these along with a pair of menswear inspired styles and you’ve got your two minimalist travel shoes for this season. These may be part of the fall fashion trends but I love them year round!

Stylish Wrap Bodycon Knit Midi Dress

Knit Sweater Dresses

I love knit sweater dresses for travel because they’re warm, feminine, and can also double up as tops! Wear them over knit tights, leggings, or tuck them into your jeans – grab yourself a thin-mid weight sweater dress and you’re ready to go. As a bonus, makes a great flight travel outfit too! One of my favorite fall fashion trends!

BP. Plaid Shirt

Flannels and Plaids

Nothing says “autumn” quite like a classic flannel. And luckily for us fall fashion enthusiasts, working this print into your wardrobe is a piece of cake. You can wear it as a standard shirt, layer it under a leather jacket or wear over leggings as a cozy airplane outfit.

The possibilities are vast, making a classic flannel shirt a must-have for fall travel. Pair with a denim skirt, black tights, and a cognac crossbody purse for a perfect, autumn ensemble.

Leather Drawstring Bucket Bag

Crossbody Bags

Crossbody purses are great for travel but why not update your look with a current style like a bucket bag? May not have as many pockets but they can have lots of space plus you can find them with over the shoulder straps as well – multi-functional!

Choose the best travel purse that’s right for you!

Leith Ribbed Shawl Cocoon Sweater

Classic Cardigans

A few signs that fall has arrived? Orange leaves, brisk weather, and the beginning of what seems to be a universal obsession with sweaters. One of these is hands-down the classic cardigan.

Cozy enough to stay warm in and light enough to layer with, cardigans are an easy fall staple.
They’re also great transitional pieces, making summer pieces wearable in the cooler autumn months.

Save room in your luggage and stay warm on a cold airplane by incorporating a cardigan into your travel wardrobe. Or opt for a jersey cardigan made out of rayon. These don’t wrinkle as easily and are great for looking polished while traveling!

Ribbed Knit Winter Infinity Circle Loop Scarf

Scarves

Just as essential for any fall look is a toasty scarf. Infinity scarves are an easy classic and can even make for a quick pillow on the plane (just make sure your makeup is removed!).

The color options are endless when it comes to this piece, but we love nothing more than a classic burgundy for the fall time.
