Since I’ve been in Europe very recently, I wanted to share a dress review of an unexpected travel find that’s so versatile and wearable in the scorching temperatures, since I know many of you do the same, look for lightweight dresses to wear on your dream European vacation!

Summer Dress for Europe

The cute Gevomir Halter Summer Dress with Coach Slides and Madewell Sun Hat

The Gevomir printed halter summer dress has been one of my unexpected travel wardrobe wins for my month-long trip to Europe including stops in Greece, Italy, and Croatia!! Because it’s been such a find, I wanted to share this quick and short review as it’s perfect for travel!

Truthfully, I only bought it because I wanted a red dress to take new brand photos for Travel Fashion Girl. In the end, it’s become one of my go-to items!!

Gevomir Summer Dress paired here with Taos Sneakers

Here’s why it’s been an awesome find:

It looks great in my travel pics!

It works in a range of settings. From Athens to Santorini to Rome and the Croatian Islands, this has been absolutely perfect in every European destination so far. Plus, it will look equally as nice at home, too.

It can be worn casually with sneakers (like my white leather Taos sneakers) for all-day sightseeing, dressed up with wedges or heels for a nice dinner, or paired with casual slide sandals for just about everything. I imagine it would probably look just as good with cowboy boots and a denim jacket at home (or on the go), too!

Even though it’s a synthetic fabric, it’s airy so it’s comfortable enough in the heat.

I’ve been able to rewear it repeatedly without washing it – so it’s the perfect travel fashion balance where form, function, and fashion combine without the need to wear a “travel” or “hiking” outdoors brand. That’s the core of what Travel Fashion Girl is all about!

Because of the fabric, it’s wrinkle-resistant so super easy to throw on and go.

Enjoying Rome in my Gevomir Halter Summer Dress

At under $40, it’s budget-friendly and it’s available in a range of colors. I plan to order a blue one, too! I hope I can find other dress styles in this same fabric. Let me know if you find one.

I sized up from a small to a medium for a longer, more “comfortable” fit.

I’m 5’2” so the length was perfect for me. Just short enough to feel flattering and appropriate but not long enough to need hemming to avoid a frumpy look.

Secret tip: I folded the neck to bring in the arm sleeves because I didn’t have time to get the arm holes taken in. Should’ve done this in Rome at the Zyp tailor!!

If you are headed to Europe and beyond there is no better way to stay cool and stylish than with one of these 9 best travel dress styles!

You likely need a strapless bra when wearing the Gevomir Dress

Because the neckline was so narrow, I wore my bra criss crossed on my chest and in my back, too. I won’t lie, it wasn’t the most comfortable fit but that was probably because it wasn’t a bra that was meant for that type of style.

Even though I’m not a dress person, this is such an easy option I don’t even have to think twice about it. And the fact that I don’t have to iron it, well, that’s a no-brainer.

Above all, this dress is both physically and emotionally comfortable for me as it makes me feel good about myself—which means that no matter the destination, I’ll always be in style!

Pack less clothing and more jewelry for beautiful summer travel outfits!

I also paired my Gevomir Dress with the Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody Purse
