I adore Anatomie Skyler pants and for my lifestyle, they’re unbeatable in terms of travel, but there are other alternatives that are easier on the wallet. Our readers generously share their budget favorites with you!
Alternatives to Anatomie Skyler Pants
Table Of Contents
It’s no secret that I LOVE the Anatomie Skyler pants! In my humble opinion, they are the best slacks for travel due to their versatile design (I can wear them anywhere), and the incredible benefits of the fabric are continuously giving (check out my review on them).
Overall, Anatomie Skyler pants are stretchy, comfortable, and water-resistant to withstand the rigors of traveling. The polyamide fabric means they hold their shape and only need a quick hand washing to refresh them for a new day of exploring.
Their incredible versatility is also what keeps these on permanent rotation in my suitcase. I’ve worn them dressed up for a New York City conference with heels, all the way to explore the Grand Canyon donning my hiking boots. While they continue to be unbeatable for me even after many years, their price tag doesn’t suit every budget.
Anatomie is absolutely awesome but here are some alternatives recommended by readers that are easier on the wallet. Check out their faves below!

These can handle the rigors of anything, as this reviewer says, “Love these pants. I bought a pair on a whim because of the style/cargo pocket for a work trip to Jordan. They’ve held up to being scraped on rocks, cement, oil, dirt, thistles. and getting caught on metal. They have good stretch in the fabric and while I need more thigh room, the waist isn’t as huge as most kinds of pants to make up for the legroom.”

J.Jill Wearever Slim-Leg Pants
For a dressier touch, the J.Jill Wearever pants are some of the most comfortable pants for traveling (says many TFG readers!). They’re knit, made with an elastic waist for movement and stretch, and create a flattering shape. Another draw is their range of sizing, from misses to plus-size.
One reader shares that her pair is “super comfortable,” while another one says that she simply “loves them.” You can dress these up with flats or wedges, or go more casual with slip-ons and a white tee. Either way, these work well on a plane or strolling down the cobblestones of Europe.
KUHL Strattus Pants
Sure, these KUHL pants could be classified as more outdoorsy but these would still look mighty fine with a pair of ballet flats and a draped neck top, but the difference is these not only look good, feel comfy, but also have toughness: wrinkle-resistant and ripstop polyester fabric that can handle the action.
The ribbed waist and drawcord mean you can personalize the fit and the zippered pockets allow you to stash things somewhat securely. One user says “these are great fitting pants that are really flexible,” while another fan explains they’re “great for working from home, travel, and walking the dog.”
