hi I am traveling on windsurf yacht april 24th from 2days in Rome down Amafi coast Debrovnik and up the Dalmation coast to Venice May 6th. Questions regarding a 10 capsule wardrobe what layers.
I’m going to Paris and London April 21, 2022 and I’m not sure what kind of scarves to bring. I’m also not sure if I should bring long sleeve shirts or short sleeve shirts. Do you have any advice.
How exciting Lisa!

I’m traveling end of May 2020 to Ireland by way of cruising Princess Regal. What type of clothing do I take? I’m coming from Texas and really concerned I won’t have the correct clothing and shoes. I’ve got my umbrella and rain coat ready. Now what??? I’m at a loss.

Alex, I broke my toe and the only shoe that is comfortable at this time are crocs. I guess I will stand out.
Hi Lori, ouch I am sorry to hear that. Hope it heals quickly for you. Crocs are very popular amongst many of our readers because they’re incredible comfy, packable and easy to wear. For any destination, so long as you’re dressed appropriately for the weather, the culture, and your planned activities, your aim should always be to dress for your personal comfort level vs trying to blend in. We are going to Greece on(Athens, Crete, Santorini, Mykonos) for two weeks. Mid April through the end of April 2019. What shoes should I take? I know it won’t be beach weather. Will it be warm enough for sandals?
Hi Peggy, here is a round up of choosing the best shoes for Europe which you may find helpful: https://www.travelfashiongirl.com/best-walking-shoes-for-europe/ Make sure your shoes are comfortable for all the walking you are bound to do! We recommend that you try and pack no more than three pairs of shoes based on your activities so your sandals could be one of your options for in case the weather is suitable. Also while sandals are usually a great option it entirely depends on the weather forecast. It’s important to research the weather now and closer to your travels for the most accurate indication on what shoes to bring. Hope this helps. Have an amazing trip!!

Hi Alex,
Im going to Germany the last week of May. Ive been reading all your tip but i still cant decide what kind of shoes to take. So far i decided to take 4 pairs, booties, flats, sandals and heels ( for a wedding). I want something comfortable and fashionable what can you recommend?

Hello! I’ll be traveling to Europe in a couple a weeks, end of April and beginning of May. London, Paris, Zurich, Rome, Florence and Venice to name a few. What type of jacket would you recommend to take?
Hi Mariel, have a look at these articles for some ideas: https://www.travelfashiongirl.com/will-these-travel-jackets-work-for-europe-in-the-winter/ https://www.travelfashiongirl.com/lightweight-jackets-for-summer-travel/ Have a fantastic trip! 🙂
Hello Alex, Thank you for all the great travel advice. My question is, can I still wear knee high leather boots while in Rome the last 2 weeks of April? I know the weather is “iffy” at this time, so I thought it would be fun to pack my cognac colored lightweight leather boots. What so you think? Will I be the only one wearing them? Thanks for any response!
Reenee
Hi Reenee, thank you so much for your comment! Just be aware that you will likely be doing a lot of walking on uneven cobbled streets so as long as they are comfy and will not hurt your feet, you should be fine to wear your knee high leather boots. Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Alex,
I’ve been following your blog for a couple of years now, and its amazing how a two year old post is still very much relevant today. You’ve taught me to become such an efficient traveler. Continue your great work!

Hi Alex and all!
thanks for yet another great packing list!
I would like to add a colorful item to the list, it’s spring after all! Also wearing colors puts me in a good mood! I would just replace one of the top. What color would you recommend to avoid any “faux pas”? I was actually thinking that any vivid block item would work? What would you say?
Best,
Amandine
Hi Amandine, I agree! I’d say use a color palette that works best for your personal style 🙂
