I purchased a Baggallini Soho backpack two summers ago, and it has been perfect for me. It comfortably fits my 16″ laptop, along with essentials I prefer not to pack in my checked luggage, and it has plenty of pockets for organization. Even when fully packed, it’s not too heavy on my shoulders, which I really appreciate. Its also my everyday backpack.
Before that, I bought a 17″ Lovevook backpack. It held a lot and was great for carrying my laptop and file folders, especially when I had to work during vacation. It also had space for items I didn’t want to pack in my luggage.
This past summer, I tried a larger Lovevook backpack that opens like a suitcase. Unfortunately, I won’t be using it again—it was far too heavy on my shoulders, and I was miserable carrying it through the airport. It’s too late to return, so I plan to donate it.

I recently bought the Coowooz expandable bag and I love it! I’m short, so having straps able to adjust to my height is really helpful.
I recently purchased Lo & Sons O.G. 2. It’s a beautiful bag with great pockets organization and nice zippers.
My only negative with this bag is that the main zipper is too small / shallow of opening making it hard to see what’s in the bag.
I give a “10” for the Tumi backpack here = not only does it look sleek, it is bigger than it looks and fits my laptop perfectly. Mine has traveled for mulitple weeks to Italy, Portugal, Japan, and Argentina and has weathered rain, sweat from hiking, snow, and scorching hot weather. Best backpack ever!

A new travel laptop bag was my first TFG recommended purchase a few years ago! My bag, which looks closest to the Lily & Drew profiled in this article (but was a different brand), has been perfect! It’s affordable, roomy and sleek. My favorite features are the trolley sleeve and roomy interior. The bag has been to several countries and dozens of US states and still looks great. When Alex first introduced the Lo & Sons OMG bag in the early years of the website, I fell in love and never looked back! The idea of a bag that is travel perfect in every feature, can be work and gym friendly, AND pairs with a dress, heels, and be taken to a resto for dinner was PERFECT! I drooled over the photos and videos for 3 years before splurging on it, and I still love it after all this time (~8+ years). I often worry that I overload it or it’s too heavy and will be damaged in some way….nope.

I travel weekly for my job. I always carry on my Club Glove rolling mini duffle and my computer bag is my personal item. I need a computer bag that is large enough to stuff my cross body bag into at the airport since I’m limited to one personal item. I’ve used a Tumi Alpha Bravo backpack for the past 7 years.
