Travel Fashion Girl’s Vacay Capsule

Since Vacay allows you to customize your own capsule wardrobe I mixed and matched pieces from three of their themed collections: TahitiMartinique, and St. Bart’s.

The reason why I love Vacay is that their clothing is versatile and you can easily mix and match the pieces together or with a few of your own wardrobe essentials.

All of their sets have lovely hues such as vibrant blues and pretty corals. However, I wanted a neutral capsule wardrobe that I could enhance with whatever color is currently dictating my mood when planning a vacation.

Versatility is key to a capsule wardrobe. Learn more in my guide!

St. Barts MAXi worn four unique ways

I’m especially crazy about their MAXi 2-piece dresses. Wear the two items together to create a maxi dress or wear the skirt alone as a midi dress. Then, pair the top and skirt with other pieces to make a variety of other looks as shown above.

I used one of their MAXi dresses on my honeymoon and another in Isla Holbox in Mexico. Take a look! You can also shop all of their styles here!

Tahiti 2-Piece Jumpsuit

And now they also have 2-piece jumpsuits! GENIUS! Wear them together or separately with contrasting color tops and bottoms for even more versatility.

Grab the 2-piece jumpsuits asap as they sell out quickly. Shop here!

For my capsule, I used the five pieces shown above and added one pair of denim shorts but you can easily replace the shorts for a pair of capris, mini skirt, or whatever else suits your personal taste.

In total I combined two (2-piece) MAXi dress, one (2-piece) jumpsuit, one caftan, and one of their halter tops. Take these five pieces, add one or two more of your own pieces, and create over fifteen travel outfits!

Why We Love Vacay Style

I’ve written about Vacay Style several times and even wore all of their clothing on my honeymoon in the Maldives. Their Tahiti caftan is an absolute must in every sun chaser’s travel wardrobe! It’s light, beautiful, and beyond comfortable. Pic below:

The idea for Vacay came to Elizabeth Hynes during her own Honeymoon in 2008. It was during her epic sailing journey to Bora Bora that Elizabeth learned how to pull together a collection of items that could create multiple outfits.

She knows how important fabrics are for travel clothing so all their pieces have travel friendly fabrics that are wrinkle resistant or even wrinkle free.

The key to packing light is to use packing cubes to compress your clothing shown in this video!
