Review: Anti-Theft Crossbody Phone Purse

Written By: Mary Chong

While small, the Travelon Anti-Theft Tailored Crossbody Phone Pouch is perfect for use as a wallet with a shoulder strap when traveling as it will comfortably hold your money, credit cards, cell phone and passport, all with enhanced security protection.

Travelon Anti-Theft Tailored Crossbody Phone Pouch

Style: Anti-Theft Tailored Crossbody Phone Pouch

Dimensions: 5” x 6.75” x 2” with a 54” strap length and adjustable 14.5” to 27” strap drop length

Material: Nylon twill

Color: The bag comes in four color varieties, including onyx, garnet, sapphire, and sable.

Capacity: This bag, for all intents and purposes, is a wallet with a shoulder strap. It’s great for the essential items like money, credit cards, cell phone, and passport.

Opening Type: Opens at the top with a zipper

Features: This bag has one exterior pocket with a toggle closure. The interior of the bag features four credit card slots, two deep interior pocket, an attachment for your keys, and a small flashlight.

Security: The phone pouch offers RFID protection as well as a lobster claw type of closure on the zipper and on the straps that attach to the bag. The straps and body of the bag are also cut-proof in that they have steel wire inserted inside.

Travel Type: This is perfect for carry-on, vacation, business, backpacking, and city break travelers.

I’ve had my Travelon Anti-Theft Crossbody Phone Purse for about four months now, and I’ve used it at home around town and on a recent 2-week cruise holiday, and it shows almost no wear. The bag is very well made and comes with a 5-year warranty.

The nylon twill and polyester lining keeps it durable and slash-resistant, so you can use this for years of traveling.

Comfort and Mobility

This Travelon bag can be worn as a crossbody or on one shoulder and is very comfortable either way you wear it. It’s small, so there is no fear of overloading it and making it too heavy.

It’s also small enough to wear under a jacket for extra protection and security. I haven’t seen bags that are smaller than this, but somehow it’s still roomy enough for the basics.

Even though the phone pouch is small, it still holds a lot. I’ve stuffed it with lip gloss, change purse, keys, two passports, pen, cell phone, sunscreen stick, and a pill bottle and the bag didn’t look out of shape nor did I have any difficulty closing the zipper.

I think the bag is pretty with the beige exterior and the bright pink interior. The gold details add a bit of sparkle and class to a stylish bag, making it perfect for a simple trip to the grocery store or a casual dinner on a cruise ship.

What makes this Anti-Theft Crossbody a great bag is that it’s small and compact like a wristlet or one of those hybrid cell phone wallets found everywhere these days. It’s much more secure with the RFID and anti-theft security features and keeps your hands free with the shoulder strap.

I used in on a cruise holiday, and it never left my side. It held my cruise cabin card, sunscreen, and cell phone while I was enjoying the sun on the pool deck but it was also with me at the dinner table each night and went ashore with me in port. It fits right in no matter the environment or the activity.

I love this bag and find it to be convenient to use both at home and when traveling. One thing that I wish it had was a flat exterior pocket at the back to slide in a boarding pass or even just a grocery list.

It seems like wasted space right now to have a backside to a purse with nothing on it. Another issue is that the zipper only closes and locks on one side. This could be a bit awkward depending on what side you prefer to wear your purse.

I’m happy with the Travelon Anti-Theft Tailored Crossbody Phone Pouch and feel that it’s a good buy for traveling at home and abroad. It’s a much more secure alternative to a wristlet bag or just holding your wallet in your hand.
