Many readers ask me about what they should wear in Bali. In addition to this Bali Travel Packing List, I thought I’d share some street style shots I took while spending two weeks in Ubud. From hippie nomads to summer cool threads, check out these travel fashion pics!

Plan to go to Bali in early October but not sure if it’ll be high humidity and wet. I’m getting conflicting information from websites and friends who lived there for years. I absolutely abhor humidity so I could use tips to keep cool and fresh. BTW, I have hair that visibly curls up in humid weather– I’ve tried everything to tame me tresses to no avail! Add to that hyperthyroid issues that make heat highly intolerable. So any help will be appreciated!!!
Try this post for more tips: https://travelfashiongirl.com/bali-style-what-to-wear-in-bali/ The most accurate information will be from the weather reports on weather.com a little closer to your trip. For the most part, expect heat year round and bring a few layers for the cooler evenings. You can buy anything you need at a low price there should you need anything. One thing’s for sure, I always pack the same things no matter what time of year you go and it’s always based on heat and humidity with the potential for cooler evenings.
I live in India and am leaving for Bali tomorrow. I wear nothing but kurtis, salwars and the occasional churridar. The clothes are comfortable and are made of cotton, cotton/silk blend or linen. I also have some kaftans that I plan on packing. Will my Indian clothes be appropriate for Ubud, etc.
Good tip, thanks!
Agree with Suzanne! Love this site anyway but seeing street style from actual locations just makes it so much easier to plan outfits. I’m about to head off on a RTW trip and am going to try and do a bit of this – maybe we should collaborate… x
Hi Franki how exciting to plan a RTW! Sure email me with any ideas. Thanks 🙂
Love these photos, can you post more like this from different travel destinations? It really helps to get a sense of what outfits will fit in and what might not. Thank you!
Thanks Suzanne! I try to take pictures wherever I travel but unfortunately only started recently so there are over 35 countries that I missed 🙁
