What to Wear to a Bachelorette Party in Vegas

Written By: Casey Carr-Jones

Las Vegas is a quintessential bachelorette destination. It has everything: casinos, clubs, fashion, burlesque shows, strong drinks, top-rated restaurants, and fun music.

If you’re going on a girls’ weekend getaway to Sin City, you’re in for a treat. But how do you pack? Here’s what to wear to a bachelorette party in Vegas:

Weather in Las Vegas

Weather: Summer

July is the hottest month in Las Vegas, with average highs of 104°F and lows around 80°. But with the low humidity, it doesn’t feel like a heavy heat and you’re easily able to get around. During summer months, you’ll find almost everyone poolside at the day parties. They’re a must for a fun Vegas trip with the girls!

Weather: Spring, Fall

With warm days and mild nights, spring and fall are the most popular times to visit Las Vegas. February through April and September through November are great times to plan a trip. Along with the items listed for summer, pack warmer items for cooler days and evenings. As always, don’t forget to check the forecast.

Weather: Winter

Winter in Vegas can dip down to the mid 50°s F for the highs, with lows in the 30°s. Pools are closed, but there’s still plenty to do. In the winter, expect cool temps but hot parties.

Note: if you plan to spend time gambling in the casinos any time of year, bring something warm because the air conditioning is always on full blast making it chilly when you’re indoors.

Cutout Swimsuit | High Neck Tankini Plus

Cute swimsuit

A swimsuit is always a must for any Vegas trip. Even if you’re not hitting spending your days by the pool, you may still want to get pampered at one of the world class spas in the hotels. And if you are going to a pool party, don’t be afraid to choose a sexy, glam bikini – it’s Vegas!

These are our favorite bra sized swimwear for all shapes and sizes!

Heels

Heels are a must for Las Vegas nightlife. It’s sin city, live it up and get dolled up! Also, you’ll want to bring cute shoes for Vegas pool parties. Many women wear wedges with their bikinis but you can also opt for strappy sandals, too.

Here are the top picks for most travel-friendly wedges for travel

Caftan | Romper

Cute coverup

Bring a coverup that doubles as a dress for afternoon bar hopping. Sheer elements can be fun to play with and are very sexy. We like the ones shown above because you can wear styles like these as a coverup, for sightseeing, and for a night out dancing.

Travel Shoes

No mater what time of year, remember that Las Vegas is in the desert, but don’t let its flat landscape fool you. Pedestrian walkways in Vegas have crosswalks above the street, so you’ll be taking stairs and escalators regularly.

Also, some casinos (like the Venetian or Paris Las Vegas) have constructed replicas of cities inside, with painted skies, shops, canals, and cobblestone flooring. This flooring can be slippery, so be careful.

In general, shoes during the daytime should be comfortable for walking, like a gladiator sandal, leather loafer, or ballet flat. At night, sky-high heels and wedges are common. But again, make sure your heels have good treads or be sure to scuff up the soles a bit before heading onto the fake cobblestones.

Little Black Dress

An LBD is a Vegas essential. Find one that’s form-fitting and flattering, and makes you feel like a million bucks. Pair it with a colored or metallic heel and a chunky necklace.

Choose heels like these so you don’t have to bring more than one pair for the entire weekend!

Shorts 1 | Shorts 2

Denim

For daily wandering on the strip, denim is perfect. While many people glam up for Vegas activities at night, during the day comfort is king and pretty dress very casually.

Jeans are easy to wear when it’s not hot and denim shorts are great when the heat’s high. Remember, denim doesn’t have to be washed often so one pair will suffice for your weekend getaway.

These stylish summer shorts for women will take you from day to night, city to sea, and so much more!

Leather Jacket | Biker jacket

Jacket

When you’re planning what to wear to a bachelorette party in Vegas, be aware that in the middle of winter, it is freezing cold so if you plan on sightseeing, bring a warm coat! For the evenings, go for a fitted leather jacket for shows and nightlife. We love biker jackets but a cute blazer would work, too. This will not only pair well with jeans, but with dresses at night.

Unless the temperatures are freezing, many will just skip a jacket in the evenings when taking cabs directly from one hotel to the next. However, the wait for cabs can get quite long in peak seasons, which will make you grateful if you do have something warmer for late nights.

These are our favorite winter boots when it’s cold!

Kit Bags | Sleep Mask

Travel Essentials

Hangover Kit Be the lifesaver of the crew and pack eye masks, pain relievers, band aids, gum, and snacks.

Custom tanks or t-shirts “Last Fling Before the Ring,” “The Bride’s Last Ride,” “Drunk in Love,” and “Bride Squad” shirts for the entire crew make for fun photo ops and an easy outfit.

Consider customizing the message for your Vegas trip – “She Said Yes, We Said Vegas!” or slogans like “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” that play off of casino elements work great. Go for a good Vegas pun and you’ll be sure to attract attention!

Travel Tips

  • Staying on the strip may be pricey, but it keeps you in the middle of the action. Keep an eye on hotel deals through travel websites and you should be able to score a deal. Or, if you plan on booking more than 10 rooms, contact a hotel for a group rate.
  • Reserving a poolside cabana can make the bride feel like a celebrity. Look for rentals midweek for better pricing.
  • Look out for pickpockets. Bring a handbag with a zipper closure. Read anti-theft tips here.
  • The shopping in Vegas is amazing! From high-end stores to trendy boutiques, you’ll have a lot of window shopping to do.
